Daddy - June 29, 1933 - January 11, 2009

This week we celebrated Daddy's life. I had the opportunity to spend 49 years with my Dad, my mentor and one of my very best friends. It does not get better than that!
I looked around at us his wife, brother, children, our spouses, step children, grand children, great grandchildren, nephew and friends. Dad leaves a wonderful legacy.
I am most happy that he met Patrica and she gave him love, adventure and fun for the last 14 years of his life. This made Mom happy of that I am sure. Dad was the eternal optimist and loved to laugh. Even in very difficult times we can find comfort. In this family humor is never in short supply. Chris is one of the funniest people I have ever met and as we (Chris, Julie, Spencer, Randy and me) sat with Dad, Chris or Spencer decided to tell Roland (Pepe) jokes. I sat there and laughed out loud and thought: Roland is enjoying this time with us! I already miss seeing him, our times of just hanging out, our dinners together and calling just to check in on him and Pat.
Daddy, thank you for our time together and you will always be in my heart! I love you!
My life is fuller because of what he has taught me over the last 49 years and I am blessed to be his daugher. I miss you Daddy!
Click on this link for Julie's eulogy and his obituary, she made us laugh, made us cry and she spoke of the love that we all have have for Dad! http://goyettefamilycircus.blogspot.com

Judy, Christopher, Randy & Russ:

On behalf of my entire family (my mother Cecile, my husband Barrie, my son Christopher and his wife Heather, my brothers Larry & Don) we offer our condolences.

I will always remember your dad as my "oldest cousin" - of course, that was an honorable position to hold within the Goyette Family. In actuality, that meant he was the Head Honcho! He was always full of life and had a contagious smile. When you saw him, he always made you feel like you were the only person in the room. Why he never ran for political office, I will never know! He would have won any election he ran for. :D

Please know you are all in our prayers. One thing about Roland....he was proud of ALL his children...his wife Pauline...and Patricia for bringing him back from dispair after the loss of your mom some 15 years ago. I KNOW he loved you all. And as far as I am concerned, he will always be the Head GOYETTE Honcho of the first cousins (all 12 of us).
Love, Cousin Jan
